TurboWords Spelling 3.4

Using speech recognition, you can quickly create a spelling test using your own weekly school words. Simply record them in one go and watch as they are converted into text. The process is easy and enjoyable.

Once you have created the test, you can play it with a variety of options. Seeing, hearing, and writing the words will assist you in achieving success in your school exams. Additionally, an adorable character, named "amimo" (a combination of the French words "ami" [friend] and "mots" [words]), provides words of encouragement.

In addition to the spelling test, you can track your progress. The app displays the results of your last three tests for each word individually. You can earn a shining star as a reward for your achievements.

Alternatively, you can play one of five word games using your own words: hangman-style, crossword, word search, charivari, and word shuffle.

The app includes one sample group to help you get started.

TurboWords allows you to:

SETUP

• Record as many words as you need.
• Enter or edit the text of the words.
• Re-order, delete, or re-record your words.
• Create up to eight groups of words (lists). You can purchase an unlimited number of groups as a one-time in-app purchase at a minimal cost.
• Receive and import groups created with TurboWords Parent/Teacher Edition.

TEST

• Play the words sequentially or randomly using either your recorded voice or a synthesized voice.
• Type or write the words on paper.
• Receive instant feedback with each keystroke. Correct letters are highlighted in green, while incorrect letters are in red.
• Use the Hint button if you get stuck. Pressing this button will reveal the next letter.
• Pronounce the word as you type each letter if desired.
• Navigate forward and backward within the test.
• Set a time limit so that the next word is automatically played back after a specific number of seconds that you set.
• Take partial tests.
• Focus on the words you struggle with by excluding successfully spelled words from future tests.

CORRECT

• View the results of your test.
• Correct any misspelled words.
• See a positive-reinforcement star, as well as red and green lights indicating your progress as you learn.
• Send the test results via email.

PLAY

• Enjoy playing "Not Hangman" while improving your literacy skills.
• Solve crossword puzzles.
• Beat your high score in the animated Word Shuffle game.

To use the app, simply follow these steps:

1. Add a group for your words.
2. Record your words.
3. Take the spelling test.
4. Correct any errors in the test.

Contextual help is available on every screen, and both portrait and landscape modes are supported. Additionally, a multi-user option is available for purchase, allowing multiple users on the same device. Each user can be created with their own name and photo, and they will have their own groups of words.
